Description
Warsaw ~ The Ideal Beginning ~ (Recorded before thier name change to Joy Division) ~
Comes with original Sleeve/s . 14''x14'' Warsaw on front when folded into the 7'' sleeve . Recorded on the 18 th July to back . Totally different printing to sleeve front & back to the 4 TRACK 'JOY DIVISION' An Ideal for living' sleeve printed for the 78' 4 track 7 ''.
The label name exsisted already in the USA hence Joy Division OWN label name was changed to ANONYMOUS After thier name change from Warsaw .
This the x 3 track single and has different tracks from the 1978 x 4 track Enigma 7'' An Ideal for Living .
Matrix No's ~ SIDE ONE ~ PSS - 138 - A with FRANCIS also etched on same runout groove .
SIDE TWO ~ PSS - 138 - B 1 NO other etching on this side runout .
Label Credits ~ C 1977 Enigma Label name . Tracks 1 / 2 / + / 3 to (Curtis / Hook )
Tracks ~ A1 ~ Inside the Line . B1 ~ GUTZ . B2 ~ At A Later Date .
Has been stored in a plastic sleeve for protection so still in great condition .Vinyl is excellent condition for 30 + years old . Has been played only a couple of times with only very very faint handling/sleeve wispmarks on both sides and can only be seen under certain light but No scratches , No Scuffs , No Label wear/marks and still has a really strong/nice lustre on both sides . 7'' sits perfectly flat on a turntable and plays perfectly fine with no pops , skips , crackles or any loss in the original sound quality .
Labels ~ a couple of faint spindle marks to B side . Labels in excellent condition with no writing , spindle bumps , scuffs , marks or wear .
The sleeve is in excellent condition for age , all folds still as they would be when folded as new before release and thick paper foldout sleeve put into plastic cover with only a tiny clean/neat approx 10mm rip at the rear right side edge , which is not very noticable , about 60mm from top corner . Very slightly foxed/colour aged but still bright & clean as has always been kept in its original plastic cover/sleeve . I have not seen A better example
