Description
Juan De La Cruz
Kahit Anong Mangyari
(Black Gold BA 5064 1981 Philippines LP)
The original Philippine issue. Condition leaves a little to be desired but so, so hard to find.
The main issues are around the edges and spine, the top seam has some moderate wear but is still intact. The bottom seam is heavily worn and looks to be split but someone’s put some clear tape over it to protect it. The spine is also heavily worn but again it’s been protected by clear tape however when you look at it from inside the sleeve but appears to be split for most of its length. There are a couple of small tears on the front down the spine edge where someone has removed some earlier tape and replaced it with the tape that’s there now.
Both labels are clean and clear of any wear or damage.
Record – The disc itself is clean but has a lot of light surface marks, no deep scratches though and nothing that cuts through the grooves. When played the music is surprisingly clear, there are light crackles and some light pops between tracks but there’s nothing that interferes with the music, no jumping or sticking, no heavy pops or clicks during the actual music. The exception to this is the final track which does have some light crackling.
Not the greatest copy but it’s hard to find any Philippines album in good condition. I was quite happy with this one sitting in my own collection for the past ten years or so until I obtained a (marginally) better copy.
