JUDEE SILL Heart Food (Rare 1973 UK first issue 9-track LP, her second album, complete with the often missing lyric insert which is in near perfect condition and fully laminated picture sleeve. (See pictures)
Original dust jacket was recently replaced by a new dust jacket as the jacket had started to split down one side.
This has been untested so cannot guarantee sound quality
The Story: Given to my dad back in the seventies by one of his friends, a records shop owner who was finding the vinyl difficult to sell at the time. He said he has only played it once and it has sat around ever since.
The Vinyl: Glossy, shows no sign of obvious wear, like new and has only ever been played once. I have been told the sound was perfect and I note there are no marks on the vinyl. (Please see picture)
The Sleeve: I would say the cover is shiny and has a few creases around the edges. There is some blistering down the side of the sleeve front/back laminate but I would say it may be down to age over 40 years old. There is slight splitting of top and bottom seams but as records never been manhandled for over 40 years until dust jacket was removed recently, I would say it has been caused by the glue drying out over time.
Overall the grading I would say for both items together if I had to give one would be (VG+).
As with any record over 40 years old it is not perfect, nothing ever would be for the age but I am pleased to say it has faired well for its time, happy bidding.
