Judge Sympathy – The Birth Of Trojan (2008) 11 x 7” Vinyl 7” Box Set. Trojan Records (TJLBX376)
Rare & long out of print 7” vinyl singles box set from Trojan featuring replicas of all eleven singles that originally appeared on the label back in 1967, featuring classic Rocksteady produced by the legendary Duke Reid. The Trojan label was originally formed to issue the Duke’s productions in the UK and was named after the make of truck he used to carry his sound around Jamaica. This is classic Jamaican music on the format on which it originally hit the British public. It comes complete with Mint condition booklet from Jamaican music expert Laurence Cane-Honetsett.
This box set didn't come factory sealed, as a result there is some minor corner-wear & edge-wear. Conservatively graded as Excellent (although it's much closer to Mint).
All 11 7” singles are in perfect, Mint condition. There is one single which some spindle marks, only noticeable under direct light, the others are unplayed. I grade conservatively in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide 2016. The singles are a follows:
