Description

For sale is a vinyl album by Judy Garland titled "Judy In Love", originally released in 1958 by Capitol Records.  In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is machine stamped what appear to be the silhouette of the Capitol dome in Washington, D.C, followed by the matrix numbers D-1/D-1, indicating that  early stampers were used to press this album at Capitol Records' pressing plant located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of some creased and wrinkled corners. The cover is graded as Near Mint with the most minor of corner blunting. The spine is Near Mint. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good because of very faint sleeve marks and some superficial surface scratches, otherwise, the surfaces are still shiny and bright, in a like new condition. I'm play grading this album between Good Plus and Very Good because of occasional ticking and low level background noise, more evident between tracks and during the quietest sections of playback, but not over-powering the vocals or music. Yhere was a lock-up at the end of "I Concentrate On You", that I had to advance by hand. This is still one of the best copies of this album that I have ever heard or seen and you would be hard-pressed to find one in this condition, especially a Scranton first pressing. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Pop records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
