Jump Back Jack-Self Titled 1987 Aust prog funk rock LP. The late Hungarian born master bass player, Jackie Orszaczky arrived in Australia in 1970 with prog jazz-rock band Syrius who returned to Hungary in Sep 1971. He returned to Australia in 1973 and played with Bakery until their demise in Feb 1975. He then formed a studio band with John Robinson (G ex-Blackfeather), Peter Jones (Electric Piano) and Grahan Morgan (D) to record his debut solo album Beramiada. It featured accomplished prgressive jazz-fusion, in the vein of Weather Report, George Duke and Caravanserai-era Santana. In May 75 he joined Marcia Hines Band as bass player and musical director for 2 years before becoming an in-demand session player. In 1987 he formed Jump Back Jack playing West Coast rock and funk in the vein of Blood Sweat and Tears, Cold Blood and Tower of Power, issuing two albums in 1987 and 1988. He continued to blend soul, funk and jazz in his later recordings with his own band, The Grandmasters and with his partner Tina Harrod's band. This was the first album independently released by Jump Back jack.
