Description

Now don't get me wrong...but over the past few months I've thought long & hard about selling this & may yet regret my decision to put this up for auction. Anyway......here goes......

Original release of the JAMs (JAMMs) legendary 1987 LP (JAMS LP 1). Withdrawn from the shelves weeks after release, this LP automatically became a collectors item. The LP was subsequently re-released (with a 'red text' cover) & has been bootlegged a couple of times, but this is the original.

If you know what you're looking for, the photos should remove any doubts that you may have:

1) Black text on sleeve (common re-release without samples was in red/pink)

2) Inverted 'SIC' below the copywrite on the label plus the spacing of the labels wording ('SIC' missing from bootlegs & spacing wrong)

3) Smudged/blacked out KLF logo on the black (back) sleeve (caused by problems with the printers when the original sleave was pressed)

4) Creamy/beigey/white front cover (the bootlegs are a stark pure shiney white)

In addition the high frequencies on the black/white bootleg are distorted on 'Me Ru Con' - not so on the orginal.

The record cover does admittedly look a little worn (Couple of greasy marks, slight tear on the front where a sticker was removed - see picture - sigh....I would have protected the cover if I'd have known what I know now!), but the vinyl is in very good condition (no jumps or  scratches, etc).
