KALEIDOSCOPE A Beacon from Mars lp 1968 Epic US rare 1st press exc+
Epic BN 26333 (stereo version). Matrixes: XSB119353 1A / XSB119354 1A
Sleeve: Exc – Like many American lps from this time, the surface lamination has had a tendency to wear, as can be seen in photo. Some additional grubbiness accumulated, although I have kept it in a poly outer (included) since I bought it 2nd hand in the mid 70s. But also very sturdy and intact. Previous owner has added side time figures in felt tip and, rather artistically (I think) added red colouring to David Lindley’s hair. Poly lined inner.
Vinyl: Exc+ - in ordinary light this record looks pretty much as new and plays fine with only occasional surface noise if at all.
Fine copy of this now rare and influential album by psychedelic/world music adventurers Kaleidoscope.
