Gray marble vinyl. Matrix reads ST-1-17171-G1 (A).
Sleeve has some wear but is generally clean and intact. (See pics.)
Inner sleeve similarly has some bumps, but is generally good. There is a 1.5" split at the bottom seam.
The record looks great, but it is of course a little harder to tell vs. black vinyl. I played it through and heard no skips, but there is significant surface noise on some tracks, particularly Running up That Hill, but also others.
So, here are the caveats, if you're interested:
- I'm not a vinyl collector, and only have a basic turntable (AT-LP60), though it does at least have a brand-new stylus, so I'm no expert on vinyl and don't know whether a better system would be more or less revealing.
- I haven't tried to clean the record. Again, I don't know whether it would help. The record was given to me to sell, so I don't know its history. Visually it's overall in very good shape for its age, so it's clearly been used rather than preserved, but not misused.
- I don't want to deal with returns, and so am trying to be as informative and transparent as possible here and am happy to answer further questions or provide more images.
- Basically, you can see from my feedback that I'm a good seller (...of CDs...), and from this listing that the item has some issues. So if you bid, it's knowing that the item is yours to keep and you've either got a rare but crackly Kate Bush record for a decent price, or something you can get more out of than me at a bargain.
