Kate Bush : Never For Ever 1Y / 2Y 1st Press (Holland) 1980
This first pressing from the Netherlands is in remarkable condition. The audio is of a standard you so rarely find today i.e. every track plays 'as new' with no intrusion at all. I cannot emphasise enough just how pristine the audio and I would not be surprised if this vinyl had never been played before. There is no spindle wear on the labels and the vinyl itself is in beautiful condition, it looks 'like new' no word of a lie. The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio take on another dimension here and it goes without saying that this is a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing.
The glossy cover is in excellent condition with minimal wear only and the original poly-lined inner (N 26/ 5/ 2) is in excellent shape also. This is a stunning album all round.

Visual description
The vinyl is stunning and still has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can only find a couple of ultra faint hairlines and you would be forgiven for thinking this was a 'new vinyl! There is no groove or surface wear and no 'bag rash' either. The run out grooves are pristine and the labels are in perfect condition also.
Play Grading
The run in on S1 is so clean and then the intro on the classic 'Babooshka' plays with exceptional clarity and warmth and the first verse is on exactly the same level. The chorus is perfectly clear with a power to match and it continues to play with stunning precision. This really is the definitive version as it just could not play any better. Sonically is is fantastic! Mint from the first note to the last.
The segue into 'Delius (Song Of Summer)' is flawless and it then plays with a clarity and warmth that is second to none. Every section just perfect including the buzzing bee! Mint
The intro on 'Blow Away (For Bill)' plays beautifully and the opening vocal section is just as strong. From then on it plays with impeccable quality. Once again the audio definition and warmth is up there with an unplayed record - the clarity is sensational. Mint
'All We Ever Look For' is of the same high end standard. I cannot overstate how well this album is playing so far! This is a great track and again the 'levels' here you so rarely find on a first pressing! Each note is so sharp and well defined - quite simply just a STUNNING version. Mint including the entire fade out.
'Egypt' ends S1 with sublime quality once more. A progressive feel to this one especially during the end instrumental and it is 10/10 from start to finish. The vocals are so clean and music also has no background either not even a solitary dust tick. This also grades as Mint and this is undoubtedly a perfect side of music.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
'The Wedding List' keeps up the standard and plays with 'as new' precision through every section. Phenomenal power and definition I cannot fault it. Mint
'Violin' plays with great power and depth with no sign of any intrusion. Kate showing she could rock out and demonstrating her vocal talents in so many ways. The guitar solo is perfect and there is no distortion here. Mint
'The Infant Kiss' plays with clarity and warmth that is practically 'as new'. I did notice three very quiet statics but I shouldn't really downgrade it because of that, they are not ticks or clicks! A stunning Mint- version let's say.
The 'vocal' only 'Night Scented Shock' plays with wonderful clarity and warmth. There is literally no background, incredible really for a vinyl of this age. Mint
The intro on 'Army Dreamers' is faultless and the first verse and chorus are STUNNING! I apologise for being somewhat 'enthusiastic' but sonic quality such as this deserves it! It continues to play with a clarity, depth and warmth that can only be described 'as new'. It is the most 'complete' version I have ever heard and that applies to the entire album truth be told. The vocal so clean and clinical and the end instrumental plays to perfection also. Mint
'Breathing' ends this incredible album with genuine quality. Again. The first verse and chorus play with stunning accuracy and it continues in the same way - for a final track the playback is sensational. As clear as the other tracks the clarity of sound is sensational through every section. The radiophonic type section is quiet and yet has no background and the powerful finale is so dynamic. Still not finished and the extremely quiet ending is 'as new' with not so much as a single static sound. A seriously stunning version! Audio does not get any better than this and this is why we love vinyl! Mint
The Gatefold & Inner Sleeve
The glossy cover is in excellent condition with only minimal wear. The top and bottom edges are close to perfect with only light rubbing next to the corners and the wide spine remains strong and clean with only a couple of small 'rubs'. All corners are in superb shape with hardly any wear and the opening edges have no handling wear as such - the second one just has a small 'crimp' / crease (back cover) which is even less on the other one (front cover). The front cover is stunning with just one small rub next to the spine and the back cover is very clean with only a handful of tiny rubs by the bottom edge and that small crease mark next to the opening edge. The inside of the gatefold is in lovely condition with no obvious wear, a fine example overall.
The poly-lined plain white inner sleeve has no side splits or tears and no marking either. It just has some light creasing mainly in one corner. N 25/5/2 is printed in one corner.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
