Description
This is an auction for a USED gently played vinyl record LP test pressing for fans of the early USA punk scene. Only 10 copies of this exist!
Up for auction, ZERO BOYS "vicious circle" LP. This is so old, it's Toxic Shock Records 11th release!! This was sent to KSPC radio in Claremont CA, but evidently was not given much airplay as the vinyl is in great condition for its age. Without a album jacket, it comes in a plain white paper inner sleeve. It has a slight warp that seems to only affect the first song. The rest of the album sounds great. Nice and loud!
The intelligent, ambitious lyrics of "Vicious Circle" tackled such themes as social stratification, teen angst, and political corruption. Mahern's clear tenor voice emerged like a rapid-fire war cry, well-suited to the message and material. These themes, set into a blazing, sonic buzzsaw with huge choruses and intricate changeups, set an influential stylistic precedent for hardcore punk which still resonates today.
This rare edition of Vicious Circle was reissued on Toxic Shock in 1988, with added bonus tracks taken from the Affirmation Records compilations LPs The Master Tape and The Master Tapes 2.
We ship in sturdy cardboard mailers designed to protect vinyl. Will gladly ship internationally. Canada is $12.99,UK/Europe is $20, Japan/Australia $20 (e-mail for other countrys rates) Serious bidders only! If you dont plan on paying for your auction, please dont bid!
