KEEF HARTLEY BAND
HALFBREED
DERAM UK 1st PRESSING
STEREO SML 1037 RELEASED 1969
MATRIX: ZAL-8598-1W; ZAL-8599-1W
Keef Hartley became known as a member of the Artwoods with Art Wood (Ronnie Wood's older brother) and Jon Lord before joining John Mayall's Bluesbreakers in time for the Crusade album. On getting sacked by Mayall, as testified on the opening track, Keef formed this band with Miller Anderson, Spit James, Gary Thain and Peter Dines with a horn section of London's whos who of jazz; Henry Lowther, Harry Beckett, Lynn Dobson and Chris Mercer and produced this debut album, and his best in my opinion, for Decca.

On a personal note, I am British and having relocated to Greece I'm forced, reluctantly, to part with my vast record collection in order to finance our charity for stray animals (we feed and provide medicine to over sixty animals every day and need to raise money to keep going). Virtually all albums are UK issues, from the sixties onwards and many are genuine first pressings. Keep an eye out over the next few months as I'll be posting some great albums and singles for sale.
