Description
Offered here is what can only be described as a seminal dub reggae album – Keith Hudson’s “Pick A Dub” (1974). At probably the most creative period of his entire career in the mid-70s, the twelve tracks Hudson featured on this album have come to be recognized as one of the first fully-formed incarnations of a new direction in Jamaican music, produced and performed by “a powerful creator”. They are as follows:
Side 1: Pick A Dub/Black Heart/Michael Talbot Affair/Don’t Move/Blood Brother/Dreaded Than.
Side 2: In The Rain/Part 1-2 Dubwise/Black Right/Satia/I’m All Right/Depth Charge.
This LP is a 20th anniversary reissue of the original release, from 1994. It also marked the 10th anniversary of Hudson’s passing at the age of just 38. With liner notes from Steve Barrow and Hudson’s friend and collaborator Dennis Alcapone, this is essential for anyone even remotely into reggae music. The record is as near to mint condition as can be and the inner and outer sleeves are also in good order, with just a little wear to the outer spine. Buy this record – you won’t regret it! BID TODAY!! I am currently selling the majority of my record collection as I no longer have a record player, my condition descriptions are based on memory and by checking the records over by eye and touch. I always try to be as honest as possible about condition but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me in plenty of time before the auction’s end as I can’t accept returns! **CHECK OUT MY OTHER RECORD AUCTIONS!!** Please note: The international postage stated for this auction is for OUTSIDE the European Union - if the winning bidder is in the EU please await my invoice before paying as postage is £5.25 not £7.85…
