Description
KEITH MONKS
(KMAL)
Broadcast-Archive Standard Precision RCM
Professional Record Cleaning Machine
Model RCM MkII
Made in England
For auction is this stunning 'Keith Monks' high quality Record Cleaning Machine in good working order.
It has received only very little use hence the excellent overall condition - the cabinet and hinged perspex cover are complete with very little wear.
The unit comes with the instruction manual, detachable mains lead and spare brushes and cotton bobbin.
This KM item has only been used in a non smoking / pet free environment.
I'm sorry, but I do not have the cleaning fluid, however it's readily available on the internet.
Please see my pictures for clarification.
The 'Classic' Keith Monks, the basic design virtually unchanged since it's launch in 1969 except for the quality, reliability and finish.
Relied upon day after day by prestige organisations and institutions including BBC record libraries, the British Library and the Library of Congress.
--------------------------------------------------
Most users generally prefer the deck mounted brush system as on this original model - it is much faster than using a bottle and brush, it is very convenient and easy, also less tiring to use, especially if multiple records require cleaning in one session.
The manual hand-pump also allows precise control of the fluid, making the whole process fast, simple and less messy from spills.
This system is unique to Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machines. The suction arm then glides quietly across the record, vacuming up the fluid together with all the dirt and particles now dissolved or floating in suspension, and leaving the disc completely dry, clean and ready to play.
