ON TO A LONG RUN OF NORTHERN AND OTHER VARIOUS GOOD SOUL 45s! - Welcome to the highest opening bid item I have ever offered in my 14 years selling music on eBay!  This is an ORIGINAL 1965 ARCTIC RECORDS U.S. STOCK COPY 45 RPM RECORD containing the highly sought after Northern soul songs titled 'The Jokes On You' backed with 'Don't Stop Loving Me' from writer / producer and future Philadelphia International Records mogul Kenny Gamble.  It is Arctic Records catalog number 123, light blue labels with dark blue print, vinyl pressing.   THE RECORD ON OFFER HERE IS A GUARANTEED 1965 ORIGINAL STOCK COPY PRESSING, NOT THE RECENT REPRO.  I recently obtained this record in a collection purchased from a former resident of southeastern Pennsylvania.  I have only been able to find evidence of one other original stock copy of this 45 ever having been offered on eBay, the other copies have all been promos.  A-side matrix information is A-KGA-6  VIRTUE; B-side matrix information is A-KGA-5 VIRTUE.   Opening bid price was determined through a survey of previously completed eBay auctions of this item, most of which ended at a winning bid price in four figures.   This record, as was the rest of the collection it came from, was carefully stored in a sleeve by its previous owner.  Overall condition of the vinyl play surface is a real nice high VG+ with a small amount of surface marks, none of which can be felt or affect play.  There is a very tiny inconsequential chip in the top layer of vinyl play surface at the extreme outer edge of the A-side - This very tiny chip only extends about 1/3 of the way into the lead-in area on the A-side only, does not intersect the lead-in groove, and does not come close to the area containing music.  Record plays very nicely with a very minimal amount of scattered light non-distracting surface noise.  Both labels have a little bit of contact wear, no other problems.  This rare and sought after 'holy grail' 45 would be a crowning addition to any Northern soul record collection!  Winning bidder pays $3.50 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - PLEASE NOTE: SHIPMENT OF THIS ITEM TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S. WILL BE VIA REGISTERED WITH SIGNATURE DELIVERY FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL - REGISTERED WITH SIGNATURE DELIVERY FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL POSTAGE TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S EXCEPT FOR CANADA (21.50) AND GERMANY is $25.70 - YES IT'S CRAZY, THIS IS THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE AS OF 1/27, NOT ME!!!  Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE!
