GROUP / RECORD Kevin Ayers • Joy Of A Toy
Harvest Yellow/Green Label Stereo Original 1st pressing 1969 UK  LABEL / LABELCODE  MATRIX NUMBERS  EXTRAS  GRADING  Harvest SHVL 763  SHVL 763 A-1 & B-1  Laminated Gatefold Cover  VG+++/Ex DESCRIPTION Stunning debut solo album from 1969 by the ex-Soft Machine man. Easily his best, most psychedelic work, infact a beautiful eccentric release loaded with whimsy and weirdness. This is the original first UK pressing with "no EMI box" on the labels. CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides with only some hairlines and non-audible scuffs with little sheen, seen in critical 100W light! Has been played and must be therefor grade as VERY GOOD+++ or better!! Both sides of this great album play with some clicks and pops. The sound quality of this classic vintage pressing-thick, heavyweight press is still full!! LABELS: Both labels in EXCELLENT condition with only some spindle marks. COVER: Laminated gatefold cover with some edgewear and slightest creases. Apart from some very little ring wear on rear, nothing else. No tape. No splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. This wonderful cover must be grade EXCELLENT! SUMMARY Stunning original 1st pressing. An excellent addition to any UK prog collection. © 2006 www.recordcollector.org Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
