KHAN Space Shanty LP 1972 UK 1st Press DERAM RARE PROG MONSTER LP in nice condition.
This auction is for:
an EXCELLENT condition KHAN LP entitled SPACE SHANTY released in the UK in STEREO on DERAM SDL-R11 in 1972. This LP is a FIRST PRESS DERAM LP of this progressive rock classic album which is highly sought after. Khan features Steve Hillage / Nick Greenwood and Eric Peachey – with a guest appearance from Dave Stewart [then with his new band EGG]. Vernon Joynson in his monumental Tapestry of delights described this Khan LP as ‘a heavy spacey brand of jazz-rock’... which is... ‘worth investigation by ageing hippies everywhere!’
The disc is in lovely EX condition with a nice gloss/sheen to the vinyl on both sides of the disc.
The gatefold picture sleeve cover is in nice EX/EX- condition. These sleeves were not laminated so are sometimes prone to age quickly: but this LP was placed by me in a protective plastic sleeve when I first bought it. So it has been kept nice and tidy over all these years.
The labels are nice and clean and free of any writing or marks of any description.
The record is housed in a plain white inner sleeve.
The matrix numbers are: ZAL-11366P-1W and ZAL 11367P-1W respectively.
Thisis a lovely condition LP that has been very well looked after.
I have test played this LP - for this auction – on my BOSE hi-fi system and it sounded very nice indeed.
