I hate using the word 'holy grail', but this really is the holy grail of all Bay Area hip hop - only 200 copies were made (ask Khayree!!). Only few survived to this day. This record was handed out to local DJs back in the '80s. Even back then, it was impossible to obtain outside the Bay Area, or in any recordstore. This truly is a piece old school hip hop history, and a masterpiece like most of Khayree's productions! I don't need to go into details of Khayree's career...he produced Mac Dre, The Mac, Mac Mall, Ray Luv, and even some 2PAC stuff. He has his place secured in the history books. This is his first record years before he founded the "Strictly Business" label. Private release out of Vallejo, CA, and BY FAR his rarest one.
I purchased this record myself on eBay about a year and half ago. It's the only copy that has ever surfaced on eBay or anywhere else. I traced it back to Salty's Record Attic in Modesto, which has turned out to be a treasure trove for some of the most sought after Bay Area records ever made like 9th Creation's "Love Crime" ep ($1710), "The Short Wave Mystery's" ep ($970), and "Matthew Larkin Cassell's" LP ($865) have all surfaced at Salty's for pennies on the dollar.
Strong VG+/low excellent condition. Not near mint, but as good in a condition as you will find this record in. Most likely, this record will never surface again anywhere in any kind of condition. It's simple "stpupid rare" like a real B-Boy would say. Not even listed in Freddy Fresh's old school bible. Don't sleep on it. Offered at no reserve like all other auctions.
