Kilburn And The High-Roads

'Handsome'

Dawn, UK, 1975

DNLS3065

INTRIGUING AND FASCINATING album from the hands of Ian Dury pre Blockheads. Bizarrely at the time it failed to make any impact despite the fact that pub rock was becoming a thing to behold. Clearly even at this stage Dury was a master of rhyming slang and painting effective pictures of life on the streets of London and its suburbs. It's a fascinating sketch of an artist mapping out a future that would bring big rewards. Check out 'Crippled With Nerves', 'Upminster Kid' and 'Rough Kids'.

This is an original pressing and now hugely collectible.
