Jimmy Bennett backed by the Negligees, Whole Lotta Shakin' b/w Tryin' To Get To You, Lancer 1314. This is a very rare record. There could have been only a few dozen copies released! Barry John lists it in his Rockabilly guide with a value unknown. The B side is a nice teen ballad. Just listen to the audio clips, and you will be in for a real treat. Jimmy Bennett's performance of Jerry Lee Lewis' smash rocker is simply sensational! The A side visually grades VG to VG+ while the B side gets a strong VG+. Most of the original luster remains. The record is made of vinyl, and not styrene. The record play grades VG++. The record appears to have some light scratches that came about from scraping, but the grooves seem to have remained relatively intact. It is likely that the damage this record received was not from playing but rather from an accident or two. The labels are in near mint condition with no apparent soiling, surface wear, or writing. This is an extremely rare rocker and an essential acquisition for the serious Arizona or rockabilly collector!
