Getatchew Mekuria: Shilela/Antchi Hoye (Philips 123/Ethiopia early 70`s)
KILLER 7"!!! Shilela is a fantastic sax-lead ethio soul jazz tune, absolutely brilliant! flip is also a very nice track in typ. Mekuria style. record shows hairlines marks and two bigger surface scratches on both sides, but plays really GREAT, music loud and clear upfront! labels clean, white sleeve, grade this VG, rare one!!
ATTENTION: I think most of you Afro collectors no about the main problem with these records: the pressings are not up to the european or american standard, even great looking records can play with cracklings and backgroundnoise. also, most of them were not well cared for or simply played to death, look trashed-up, are extreme dirty and so on...but most of them -esp. the early one`s- are rare and very hard to find in any condition, so please keep this in mind when bidding (or buying) stuff like this! i do my best to grade them as good as possible, give them a spin on my turntable and listen how they sound.

All records were graded visually using the Record Collector grading system. I DON`T USE M(INT)! So the best grading i will give is M-. If i`m not 100% sure, they will be playgraded (Thorens TD 320 MK III with an Elac system). Cover graded first, then the record. I do my best to describe everything as well as possible,but nobody`s perfect, so, if there`s a problem, contact me and we found a solution,THANKS! All records will be packed well outside of their cover and in a PVC protection sleeve with some extra cardboards added to avoid transport damages.
