Description

This LP is becoming very rare now. It's the first album by Killing Floor entitled 'Killing Floor'. It's on the very rare Spark label. This is an original pressing and the catalogue number is SRLP 102. This example was released in 1969. This is a fantastic blues psych album, with powerful vocals, stunning lead guitar, pounding bass and drums and brilliant piano infills. You will have great difficulty in finding this original UK pressing again.

OUTER SLEEVE - The flipback sleeve is laminated on the front and is in fine condition. There is some minor wear and ring wear on the front and some minor ring wear on the rear. The top and bottom edges show almost no wear and are in fine condition with no damage. Similarly, the spine is in fine condition with no damage at all but some creasing. The wording along the spine is 100% readable but the spine has been compressed during the printing and lamination process. The flipbacks are in superb condition with no damage and just some minor wear. The rear of the sleeve is in great condition with minor wear but no marks at all. It states on the rear of the sleeve - 'SPARK RECORDS LIMITED, 8, Denmark Street, London, WC 2 - AN INSTANT SOUND PRODUCTION - Produced by JOHN EDWARD - Engineers - HOWARD BARROW, DAVE HUNT - Sleeve design - IMPACT - RECORD SLEEVE PRINTED BY WEST CENTRAL PRINTING CO. LTD.'. I've graded the sleeve as Ex--.

INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain white paper sleeve with no polythene liner.

RECORD - The record itself shows superficial, visible surface marks. There is some definite surface noise which is audible during quiet passages and in between tracks and there is the occasional pop and click on both sides. The record really is in fine condition although it has been played many times. There are no jumps which I can detect on any of the tracks. The labels are the blue Spark types with and are in fine condition with some definite spindle marks. There is no damage to the labels on either side. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - SRLP 102 A-1 - side two - SRLP 102 B-1. I have graded the record as VG+ and I believe that this is very fair. I try to grade everything as accurately and conservatively as possible. The winner of this auction will not. I am sure, be disappointed.
