KIM FOWLEY “Outrageous” TOP! 1968 Heavy Acid Fuzz Psych Freakout M-

1968/USA/Imperial Records LP-12423….. here’s a clean original pressing of this rare psych lp. The heavy gatefold cover is in solid VG+ to VG++ condition with light corner dings/wear and spotty seam wear, there is some shelf wear, a couple of light crease top left side, otherwise solid with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in strong excellent to M- condition with some light inaudible storage blemishes from the inner sleeve. The thick vinyl also has a couple of light edge warps which do not affect play on my system and I don't suspect should be any problems on yours. It's not really a big deal but it is not perfectly flat. The record looks new and I suspect I was the first to play it! The record plays totally clean with clean fidelity. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. A nice copy of this rare lp! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Outrageous is the third solo album by the multi-talented musician Kim Fowley. Kim Fowley played with many bands throughout his career, Mothers Of Invention, Family, Soft Machine, Cat Stevens and Manfred Mann to name just a few, he participated in, literally, hundreds of albums, in all music styles from Heavy-Metal to Hard-Rock, Blues and Psychedelic. In Outrageous, Fowley doesn't sing, he speaks in the rhythm of the music. In "Animal Man" the guitar sounds like if we were listening to an early grunge album. "Hide And Seek" is a very nice instrumental piece. "Barefoot Country Boy", because Johnny B. Goode is inside everyone. "Bubble Gum" should also be listened to carefully, its a really nice music.

GRADING

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
