Widely regarded as the blueprint for Progressive Rock ever since it's release in 1969, this is an early pressing on the pink Island label with the "i" logo. The disc itself, although obviously played several times, is clean and shiny. Apart from a little spindle-wear around the hole and a couple of very feint spindle-marks on the playing surface, there are no visible flaws whatsoever and absolutely no scratches. Apart from a little surface-noise during the quiet start to Side 2, the record plays through very nicely with hardly any other audibe defects. Likewise the gatefold sleeve, although not pristine, has stood the test of time well. There are two tiny nicks on the open edge of the rear cover and three small pieces of clear tape overlap the open edge of the front cover. There is also some scuffing along the spine which covers some of the text. I've tried to be as honest and accurate as I can with my description because I know this will be a highly desireable item for many people. Apart from the minor imperfections detailed above, I can confidently grade the item as being in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
