KING CRIMSON
1969 UK 1st PRESS PINK ISLAND ILPS 9111
A-2 & B-4
Stunning playing/sounding NM vinyl & EX+ E.J.Day gatefold.
please check my feeedback for reassurance and bid with complete confidence.
This is a stunning original UK PINK ISLAND pressing with the thick chunky vinyl in immaculate MINT- condition and the original E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is in superb EX+ condition. Both sides of the vinyl really do look brand new and all tracks play near perfect with a excellent clean and clear sound quality throughout. The winning bidder will definitely not be disappointed with this near flawless original uk pink island pressing of King Crimson brilliant 1969 progressive rock debut.
ORIGINAL THICK 1st PRESS VINYL = NM (PLAYS EX++)
Both sides of the original thick vinyl are in EX+++/NM near new condition, there are no nasty surface marks or scratches at all and both sides have that brilliant just pressed appearance with a excellent very glossy deep sheen, on closer inspection you will find just one very feint ultra-fine hairline on side two, apart from this one hard to spot very fine non-sounding hairline the vinyl is flawless and looks brand new, it's as simple as that, this is just a dream copy that has only ever had just a few very careful plays on a decent turntable.
All tracks play and sound really superb, as this album has only ever had just a few plays the sound quality is truly amazing, '21st Century Schizoid Man' sounds stunning and extremely powerful with plenty of bass at a high volume, as do all of the tracks, being ultra fussy there is some extremely feint occasional light background static crackle during the notoriously very quiet track 'MOONCHILD', this track is so delicate sounding and so incredibly quiet in places that it would be impossible to find an original vinyl copy that does not play with some very minor light crackle, if you have ever heard King Crimson's 'MOONCHILD' then i am certain that you will know exactly what i mean. This is just a brilliant brand new looking original UK first pressing that plays a brilliant EX++/NM condition that will definitely not disappoint.
E.J.DAY MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE = EXCELLENT+
The original thick card E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is in excellent+ condition, there are some narrow slithers of storage wear to the top and bottom edges and also a few tiny areas on the spine but apart from these minor flaws this cover is in brilliant condition. The colours still look amazingly fresh and vibrant with no discolouration, also there are no traces of ring-wear which is so common with this sleeve, this is just a really excellent condition original E.J.Day matt gatefold that like the vinyl will not disappoint. The original poly-lined inner sleeve is in excellent clean condition with minimal signs of ageing and discolouration.
PINK ISLAND LABELS = NEAR MINT
Both PINK ISLAND labels are in superb near new condition. When tilted toward the light there are just one or two very short light spindle traces visible on each side, these very light traces are only due to very careful play and there really are just one or two, this album really has only seen a turntable just a few times in 39 years.

I really do pack my records very well indeed, the album will be removed from the card cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
