OUTER SLEEVE:    The super heavily textured E.J Day, gatefold outer sleeve is in good condition with minor scuffing to the edges and corners. There are also two surface tears inside unfortunately.

INNER SLEEVE:   Plain white inner sleeve has yellowed but is in good condition.

ARTWORK:   No additional artwork.

LABELS:   The plain pink, early Island labels are in good condition with just mild spindle wear.

VINYL:   The vinyl has some light surface marks but plays through fine with no sticks or jumps. Graded as excellent condition.  

Classic and rare King Crimson (the masters of prog) second only to their masterpiece 'In The Court Of The Crimson King'. However, I sometimes feel it unfair to use the term 'progressive rock' when talking about Crimson. These guys were complete craftsmen when playing and recording and were masters of their chosen instruments, Robert Fripp even went on to copyright his own style (Frippatronics, check: No Pussyfooting, recorded with Eno in 73) As with all the Crimson lps you get the feeling there are no fillers here!

Whilst this does play with some very mild surface noise here and there this is mostly during the very difficult quiet passages. A highly recommended early Island lp!!

All vinyl is cleaned using the "Moth Record Cleaning System" prior to sale to ensure the best quality sound reproduction from each individual disc. The Moth is recognised world wide as being one of, if not, the best vinyl cleaning system available and is used by institutions such as the BBC. I am always impressed by what this cleaner is able to reveal!!

All vinyl is play graded in full (not just snippets) unless otherwise stated. I am currently using the new flagship Project deck the RPM10 (see profile pic) with an Ortophon Kontrapunkt "C" cartridge with Audio Vector Mi3 speakers (tri-wired) and Musical Fidelity amps. If there is a problem anywhere across the dynamic range or vinyl surface this system will find it.

I am an avid collector of vinyl and cd's (and have been for a number of years) of all genres and appreciate how important accurate grading is. I have therefore used the Record Collector grading system, although you may note the use of + and - for those that fall safely inbetween.

All vinyl will be sensibly packaged to ensure its safe arrival. If you have any concerns regarding postage please email for recorded delivery costs. I have had no problems to date but cannot be held responsible for items lost by Royal Mail. I always get a receipt (stamped proof of postage) and am happy to show this via email. In some circumstances claiming on the standard Royal Mail insurance (up to £36) is an option but recorded is recommended if you feel at all worried. I am happy to combine postage / shipping on multiple purchases.

TERMS:

All payments are to be made within 72 HOURS of auction end unless agreed otherwise via email, if you do not contact me you may risk losing the item. If you intend to bid on another of my items and therefore want combined postage but the second item is outside of the 72hr payment window PLEASE contact me to let me know.

I aim to keep buyers informed at all times throughout the bidding/buying process. If in the very unlikely event that you should be unhappy with your item please contact me and I will do my best to resolve any issue, leaving negative feedback benefits neither buyer or seller. I only list/sell a few items at a time but nearly always rare or hard to find gems at reasonable starting prices so keep an eye out for bargains.
