IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON

JUST LISTEN HOW THE PROG START TAKING THE FRONT STAGE AT THE BEGINNING OF '70'S. IS SURE THE TV STATIONS DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS KIND OF MUSIC AND SOUNDS. ONE TRACK OF THIS LP, THE MOST ACCESSIBLE WAS EVAN INTRODUCED IN ONE OF THE SHOWS OF THE TIME. FIRST TIME AND NEVER AGAIN UNTIL ABOUT 15 YEARS LATER.

THIS SECOND LP FOR THE BAND FOUND ROBERT FRIPP AND CO IN A BIT OF TURBULENCE. THE FIRST LP DIDN'T CONVINCE THE GUYS THEY ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING AND CHANGES WERE ON THE PLATE. THE BAND PLAYING IS NEVERTHELESS MADE OF FIRST CLASS MUSICIANS AND THE RESULT SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE FIRST LP. (MY OPINION!)

I'M NOT SURE IF THIS RECORD WAS RELEASED IN AUS WHEN FIRST TIME WAS IN ENGLAND (1970). NEVER SEEN A COPY WITH PINK LABEL. WHAT MAKES ME THINK IT WASN'T IS THE FACT THE COPYRIGHT AND PROD YEAR IS 1974.

SO MAY WELL BE THE FIRST OZ PRODUCTION.

RECORD CONDITION: RECORD LOOKS EXCELLENT UNDER STRONG LIGHT, ONLY SOME HAIRLINES. PLAYS EXCELLENT, WITH SOME LIGHT CLICKS MAINLY AT BEGINNINGS OF EACH SIDE AND IN SOME VERY QUIET MOMENTS. IT IS A RECORD VERY SENSIBLE IN THIS REGARD, AND TO FIND A ORIGINAL COPY TO PLAY WITHOUT ANY CLICKS/ CRACKLE/POPS WILL BE A HARD TASK. THIS IS A EXCELLENT COPY. VERY ENJOYABLE, BUT NOT PERFECT...

COVER CONDITION: EXCELLENT WITH A LIGHT START OF RING WEAR ON BACK COVER. STICKER WITH TITLE/NAME ON THE FRONT COVER
