ILPS 9127 A#1 & ILPS B#1 First press matrix numbers.
Lovely example of this 1st pressing which looks and sounds superb.
Detailed description Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been well cared for. Under bright light, just a few hairlines and fine marks and scuffs were visible. I have played the entire record and it sounds fantastic. There is some soft background noise which can be heard at the start of side two but not over the vocal. Otherwise the run-ins and fade-outs play silently. No nasty clicks no nasty pops no repetitive tics. Nothing intrusive that would spoil your enjoyment of this record.
Don't be fooled by the sounds at the start of PEACE - AN END, these are in the original recording and are meant to be there. The groups little joke
Most of side one grades between Excellent (Ex) and Near Mint (NM).Similarly, side two grades between Excellent (Ex) and Near Mint (NM) with the exception of the slight crackle at the start as mentioned above. Taking into consideration the different gradings across the whole album I would have no hesitation in giving side one a play-grading between Excellent (Ex) and Excellent plus (Ex+) and side two a play-grading of Excellent plus (Ex). This is a superb example and was a real pleasure to listen to.
Labels: Both labels look superb with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and barely any spindle marks.
Sleeve: The sleeve is in VG+ condition. It is really nice and clean with no writing, splits, tears or stickers etc. There is some spine wear as well as the odd corner bump so VG+
