Gatefold Pink Rim ISLAND Records 

ILPS - 9111    

 

This is a rare vinyl LP copy of "In The Court of the Crimson King" by King Crimson originally released in 1969 on the Island label (ILPS 9111). Although not the very first edition, this is nonetheless a very early gatefold sleeved and pink-rimmed textured Island label. What makes this a rare issue is the quality of the record, I’ve never seen one look so good.

 

The cover, textured labels and record are all in near mint condition!

 

There is no evidence of play or spindle wear on this record. The cover has perfect lines and very negligible bends on the corners. The wording on the spine is very clear and intact.

 


 

Matrix:   Side 1:  “ILPS 9111 A3” “PORKY” is hand etched in the inner groove.

              Side 2:  “ILPS 9111 B3 ” “PECKO” is hand etched in the inner groove.
