  KING CRIMSON - IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING   A4U/B4U MATRIX - 1PT/2LA STAMPERS   Year:1969  Cat:ILPS111

  • On offer here is the finest sounding copy of this prog classic I have ever come across! Usually the many very quiet passages are spoiled by low level crackle and pops, but not this one, even the leadins are silent...
  • The Robor gatefold cardboard sleeve which is prone to fading and ringwear is perfectly flat with NO creases and shows very little signs of wear. The spine is rigid and perfectly legible. Any wear is confined to the edges. The top edge has small touches of rubbing whilst the rear bottom edge has a small rubbed patch in the middle rubbing to the lower corners. Inside the gatefold is immaculate.  Overall graded EX
  • The Patents inner is also in EX condition with very little signs of wear.
  • The vinyl has superb gloss and even under strong light, Side 1 has no marks and Side 2 has two of the slightest marks when angled to the light, that's all!  The labels are in pristine condition with a few light spindle trails.  Visually graded at least EX. When played there is no noise at all as earlier stated and the audio dynamic range is superb.  Playgraded Near Mint.
  • Please note this press  at 121 grams is lighter than the more expensive pink i label pressings but audio is still superb.

    My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
