This auction is for a rare and hard to find vinyl LP In The Court Of The Crimson King by King Crimson - which was the band's first LP release in 1969. This rare and original 1969 UK ISLAND First Stereo Pressing on the PINK ISLAND/WHITE 'i' label - on thick quality vinyl - is presented in a superb condition First Pressing E.J DAY, London Gatefold Cover (which bears the white 'I' logo on the sleeve interior) & Original Inner Sleeve

The LP is a Stereo First Pressing, Catalogue No. ILPS 9111, and the Gatefold Cover is a first press E.J.DAY, London cover with the original white interior inner sleeve. The vinyl itself is in excellent condition. It still retains its original 'when bought' look.The LP Gatefold cover is in superb condition - when you consider that it is a card sleeve and some 36 years old !! It has very little edge or spinal wear and the sleeve printing - including the inner lyrics- seem as fresh as when it was purchased. There is no writing or other defacements on the sleeve.
I am not a record dealer and that this LP is from my own collection and was bought when new and has always been stored in a clear plastic outer cover - which will be sent with the LP - and within in a sturdy record case with other vinyl LP's. My vinyl LP's have been very well looked after and the playing condition was excellent when this superb LP last graced a turntable. This is a very reluctant sale but it now seems unlikely that i will be able to play my vinyl again.
A must for both fans of King Crimson or collectors of progressive vinyl LP's this item will grace any collection.
