Description

KING CRIMSON LP, RED - This is a UK pressing from 1977.  This record was originally pressed in 1974, this copy was pressed in 1977, and is a beautiful copy.  1974 was a great year for King Crimson with both Starless and Bible Black as well as this LP released.  They can be seen as arguably the best 1 2 punch Crimson ever did.  They feature the mid 70s power trio of Fripp, Bruford and Wetton with a number of plus ones.  They are both refined in their eloquence as well as their chaos.  Red is a masterpiece of progressive music, and if I had to advise someone which King Crimson to start with, it would without hesitation be this one.  This is a wonderful pressing.  If I had to choose between a 77 UK or a 74 US, I would grab the UK.  It has a more audiophile quality to it, like most UK and German pressings.

COVER is  VG with the only issues being  cover bends.  It's a thinner typical European cover, and more susceptible to bends.  This one has it's fair share of cover bends.  One large one bottom left, another smaller one top right, and an even smaller one top left. There are some stress small bends emanating from the spine.  Cover has a JEM IMPORT STICKER top left.  Despite having the issues it does, the cover does present itself well.
VINYL plays NEAR MINT.  One thing about Crimson LPs is they have very quiet parts.  Having a KC LP that has background sound does disservice to the music, and definitely listener's enjoyment.  This copy has no background, no tics or anything of the like.  It's is a fantastic play, super clean like new, and looks and plays NEAR MINT.  
OG INNER has no splits ands no toning.  It's VG+ - Super clean.
