Larks' Tongues In Aspic is King Crimson's most experimental and "progressive" album from their classic '73-'74 period.  The lineup of  Robert Fripp (guitar/mellotron), John Wetton (vocals/bass), Bill Bruford (drums), David Cross (violin) and Jamie Muir (percussion) showcase their masterful musicianship on this groundbreaking album.  They gel together to give us an amalgamation of metal blended with classical, jazz, funk and tribal rhythms to create fiery, spellbinding soundscapes. Jamie Muir (who only appeared on this album and had left by the time of it's release) had the creativity of a madman.On this album he uses plastic bottles, plates, bowls, chains, in fact any thing he could lay his hands on to create a percussive maelstrom.

It ranks in most fans eyes as (along with their first album) Crimson's finest album

This is the original 1973 Pink Rim Palm Tree Island Release.  There was no issue for this album on the "Pink" label.

The album comes complete with the original inner Lyric sheet. 

This copy also includes the incredibly rare PRESSKIT, issued to promote the album.

The vinyl is MINT, having been played only 3 times since issue.  There is one tiny spindle mark on one side only.

The inner sleeve is EXCELLENT.  It does not have seam splits and is not faded or discoloured.  It does have some slight, mild creasing (see picture)

The outer sleeve is in NEAR MINT condition.  It is still housed in it's original shrink wrapping and there are no "wear marks" or discolouration.  The spine has no damage and features the "pinched" top and bottom.  Later issues lost this feature and the spines were flat from top to bottom.

The Press Kit  folder is in EXCELLENT condition.  It is a matt black folder, with silver lettering, in which there are the following contents. 

A 4 page A4 Biography of the band.  This has some wear on the back cover.

A 2 sided A4 sheet of press cuttings.

A second 4 page Biography of the band on paper 23cms x 23cms.  This is different to the first as it includes details on Jamie Muir, who had left the band by the time of the album's release.  This has been fairly creased and worn.

3 photos of the band.  Unfortunately time has not been kind to these as they have fused together.  Currently only a promo photo of Bill Bruford is visible.  It may be possible to soak these apart, but I will leave this to the successfull bidder!
