USA WHITE LABEL GEORGE PIROS MASTERED VINYL LP IN LAMINATED GATEFOLD WITH ALL RECORD LABEL STICKERS.
This is the George Piros mastered Lizard, and the finest USA pressing ever made of this title - Piros managed to achieve amazing dynamics on Yes and King Crimson albums, and this one is no exception, superb bottom end and ringing mids and upper-mids. This pressing is a Hi-Fi demonstration album, it shows off all that is great about vinyl. We have compared it to a UK first pressing in Island, and it has a different mastered sound, it definately compares favourably with the UK pressing, it may even be a better mastering job, its never really easy to be sure - but is definately THE Lizard to own - this copy plays and sounsd wonderful.

SLEEVE: EXCELLENT MINUS, JUST LIGHT SHELF AND EDGE WEAR, SOME LAMINATE SCUFFS ON EDGES.
DISC: EXCELLENT MINUS VISUALLY DUE TO A FEW VERY LIGHT HAIRLINES AND 'IN THE VINYL' TYPE MARKS, BUT DEFINATELY NO SCRATCHES AND NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR. AURALLY THIS COPY PLAYS AND SOUNDS SUPERB - THERE IS VERY LITTLE STATIC OR POPS/CLICKS IN THE QUIET PARTS (ALWAYS THE PROBLEM WITH KING CRIMSON VINYL) AND THIS SHOULD SATISFY ALL BUT A PERFECTIONIST. IF YOU REALLY WANT COMPLETELY SILENT CRIMSON THEN YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM ON CD, BUT IF YOU TRULY WANT THE POWER AND MAJESTY OF THIS PHENOMENAL WORK THEN FIRST PRESSING VINYL IS THE ONLY PLACE TO FIND ALL THEIR SUBTLE DYNAMICS AT PLAY.
