Description
You are bidding on an American pressing of a 1933 original KING KONG PUBLICITY RECORD. Produced by RKO, this long playing, single-sided, 33rpm transcription disc features approx. a dozen cuts of trailer style promotional material for this classic monster movie. This record has locked grooves and was intended to be played in the theatre foyer and box-office to attract punters. Sound recording by the RCA Photophone System. Etched into the inner groove is "COPYRIGHT 1933" and "KING KONG PUBLICITY RECORD."
Once in a lifetime chance to own this very rare record - a must for fans of early long-play records and monster movie fanatics.
Condition is very good. Sleeve is original and in poor shape. Shellac is good with some light surface noise.
