RARE!! KINKS LP. Original 1965 UK. PYE MONO!!

FIRST PRESSING!! ***“KINK KONTROVERSY”***

Up for auction is this very much sought after KINKS album. This is their third original UK offering if you ignore the stereo export issues as listed in RRPG.

This album has of course been played and shows some light indiscretions both to the outer cover and the vinyl. BUT, I must stress that these anomalies are only slight and the sounds are quite superb.

COVER: Lovely glossy front and no feathering at the opening. Nice and clean on the rear of cover. The only minor blemish being, it shows a split at the extreme bottom of the cover which is otherwise ‘closed’. Unusual for this as the rest of the cover is in remarkably excellent condition. TOP gloss on the front.

VINYL: Just a couple of very faint stylus touches are present which do not affect the superb quality of play. Still retains its just pressed glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Graded: a very strong EX++.

LABELS: Superb, original deep cerise PYE. No indiscretions whatsoever, except for some light spindle trails. Please note that side one label looks 'washed' but I can assure you that the colour is indeed deep cerise. Just my camera exposure was wrong. Thanks.

MATRIX NUMBERS: SIDE ONE: NPL 18131-A1

SIDE TWO: NPL 18131-B1

INNER SLEEVE: Superb original blue/white PYE issue. Just a couple of light creases at two corners.

AUDIO: Superb KINKS quality recording at it’s very best. Lovely crisp MONO sounds from this great band.

To sum up. This album is in great shape, although it is not being declared as mint, is still a very worthy addition of any self respecting KINKS collector. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
