"The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society" (full title) is the sixth album by the British band The
Kinks. It was originally released in November, 1968. This is a very well preserved 1975 second pressing.
The album consists of recordings made from 1970 through 1972. It is regarded as the most important and
influential albums the Kinks ever made. It ranked number 255 on "Rolling Stone's Top 500 Greatest Albums
Of All Time" list. The album includes a generous amount of fourteen tracks, all terrific! The U.S. record company
originally intended to save some of the tracks for a different LP, but gave up do to the strength of the album.
"Village Green Preservation Society" is the best selling non-compilation album by The Kinks, even though it
was out of print for years!

Condition:
Jacket: VG++ The jacket is in fantastic condition. It is clean, strong and nearly perfect. The only flaw
worth a mention are the corner bumps. The color of the photography is amazing. At
first glance this jacket looks more like a recent reissue rather than a forty year old classic.
Vinyl: VG++ The vinyl looks beautiful. Under extreme bright light a smithering of surface paper trails and
a very light and shallow scratch or two can be found. It is not exactly near mint but very
close. The sound quality is just fine! There are no real flaws to discuss. This is the Reprise
orange label, second pressing.
