• Conversion is from a budget deck so they are not audiophile quality and there is a bit of distortion not heard on the album itself - but they do allow you to hear the quality of the surfaces & playback to take the uncertainty out of buying :)

Condition: 

• Please read and remember this is an almost 40 year old vintage item ???? pics and grading are honest so please look. 
• Graded VERY CRITICALLY on test play and under VERY bright spotlights. Pics show item under bright spotlights. 
• Cleaned by hand using pro-grade cleaning fluid (L'arc du Son), distilled water and suitable cleaning cloths. 

Audio Test  - Budget deck but using Audio Technica Studio qauality headphones: 

• Sides 1-3:  Light crackles on intros, gaps and fade-outs on side 4 studio tracks, no skips. No noticeable loss of audio quality - Sounds nice and fresh and with plenty of life left in it
• Side 4 (Studio Tracks) has a few clicks and more background noise from the slightly more noticeable hairline scratches, but all tracks play well. 

Visual Inspection/Bright Spotlights Light: VG

• A moderate-to-large number of visible light hairline marks + handling marks on each side when looking carefully - the kind of marks left by cleaning with a cloth and general handling with an album that has been played lots of times but well cared for. 
• No deep scratches, no major marks, no loss of sheen.  

Visual Inspection - Bright Daylight: Near mint   

Vinyl Labels - Excellent 

• Minimal wear

• No mould marks. 

• Colours and printed text all perfect 

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes 

Outer Sleeve - EX for age 

•  1977 Presses of this album had Matt covers, not the gloss effect of the later reissues and are more prone to wear. 

• No major marks, creases or colour loss on front or back covers, but nice vintage visible ring-wear from the shape of the vinyls and some light shelf wear 

• Visible light wear on corners/edges

• Minimal  wear and on spine, writing still visible and intact. Bottom left of spine has an area of about 1 inch wear there is heavy wear (please see pic) 

• No splits 

Inner Gatefold Sleeve - EX 

• No marks or stains, a few creases 

• Inner spines excellent with no splits, small area of heavy wear at very bottom 

Evolution of KISS colour Booklet  - EX 

• No rips, marks or tears. 

• A few VERY small light creases. 

• All pages intact and in excellent condition.  

• One staple missing so needs to be handled carefully. 

• Rare and VERY collectible !

• Vinyl removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits

• No rips, marks, tears or pen-marks etc.  

• A few VERY small light creases. 

• Splits on the sides of the sleeves, could be repaired if required but I have left as-is

• No loss of colour and great sheen. 

• Rare and VERY collectible !

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G)

Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
