Vinyl Reissues of Band's Entire Catalog Commemorate Group's 40th Anniversary and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.

To kick off this momentous occasion, ten albums will be back on glorious sounding vinyl for the first time since as far back as 1985. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now vinyl collectors will get what they've been demanding.

All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army. 2014 reissue.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of rock and roll giants Kiss and, in true Kiss fashion, the band plan to make 2014 the biggest and loudest, non-stop rock and roll party of the century. Millions of people around the world originally discovered Kiss when they brought home an album and put it on their turntable for the first time. Those original Kiss albums are now remastered and will be available on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl.

Kiss was the first signing to Neil Bogart’s Casablanca Records in 1973, offering them a contract on the spot after seeing them perform in New York City. Their self-titled debut would propel the band to the top of the rock and roll hierarchy where they have reigned for the past four decades, selling over 100 million albums worldwide. Kiss will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in April 2014, proof of the unparalleled devotion and loyalty of the Kiss Army to the “Hottest Band in the World.

Kiss set down their electric guitars for this special live show taped for MTV Unplugged in 1995, which featured the first reunion in nearly 20 years of the original Kiss lineup: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. However, the song selection here goes well beyond the perfunctory greatest-hits album made with acoustic guitars.

As enthusiastic as the crowd was during the performance, their ardor overflowed when Frehley and Criss appeared. For their first two songs - Ace's take on the Stones' "2,000 Man" and Criss' ballad, "Beth" - only the original members of Kiss are heard playing together. And on all-time Kiss classic "Rock And Roll All Nite," each of the original members even takes a verse.
