KISS - ROCK AND ROLL OVER (AUTHENTIC 1976 CASABLANCA RECORDS US FIRST PRESSING - RARE COLUMBIA HOUSE CLUB RUN - STUNNING PLAY GRADED VG+ VINYL / EX JACKET WITH INLAY)
Up for sale is a spectacular, collector-grade archival copy of one of the single greatest, highest-octane hard rock records of the 1970s: KISS's legendary 1976 masterpiece, "Rock and Roll Over." Do not confuse this with flat-sounding modern digital reissues. This copy is an authentic, original 1976 United States initial production run manufactured under contract strictly for the Columbia House Record Club, easily verified by the factory-printed white "CRC" text block in the upper corner of the rear jacket panel. It includes the original custom color illustrated inner sleeve/inlay insert and has been thoroughly vacuum-cleaned, strictly play-graded, and is safely preserved inside a premium anti-static inner sleeve to safeguard the vintage analog soundstage from future dust.
THE VOLCANIC ALL-ANALOG EDDIE KRAMER SOUNDSTAGE:
Recorded on location at the Star Theatre in Nallton, New Jersey, using the Record Plant mobile truck to capture a massive, raw, live-in-the-room drum and guitar presence, "Rock and Roll Over" stands as a monumental return to the band's gritty garage-rock roots. Produced by the legendary Eddie Kramer, this original 1970s analog press delivers a punchy dynamic soundstage, sharp mid-range separation, and thunderous snare transient attacks that completely oblates flat digital streaming formats. Experience definitive arena anthems like "I Want You," "Calling Dr. Love," "Ladies Room," and the beautiful hit acoustic ballad "Hard Luck Woman" exactly as intended.
CONDITION DETAILS (STRICT SEPARATE SELLER GRADING):
* Vinyl Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+). Retains a gorgeous, deep factory mirror-like gloss across both sides. Under intense direct LED grading lamps, the wax displays only a couple of minor, faint, completely superficial cosmetic paper wisps from vintage sleeve removal that do not affect audio playback. Fully play-graded from start to finish—tracks beautifully with massive dynamic range and an incredibly quiet noise floor. Completely free of any skips, loops, or loud distracting clicks. An absolute top-tier player disc!
* Sleeve Condition: Excellent (EX). A true survivor jacket. The original outer single-pocket cardboard sleeve displays perfectly flat panels, rich ink gradients, and sharp typography boundaries. Features rigid edges and a fully legible spine layout with zero ring wear or seam splits. Minor, honest age-related corner friction consistent with its 50-year vintage age.
* Inlay Insert: Excellent (EX). The original illustrated custom inner sleeve insert is cleanly preserved flat with zero writing, large creases, or splits.
* Archival Protection: Meticulously cleaned and upgraded into a premium protective inner sleeve.
