Description
RARE, LATE 80's US HARD ROCK/HAIR METAL PROMO LP: KISS- Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits (Mercury 422836 427-1 ,1988, promo, US).
Original 1988 pressing of Eric Carr/"unmasked" era Kiss LP, with super rare "Promotional Copy Only, Not for sale" labels (printed on the center right side of the labels). DJ stamp, towards the top right corner of the back cover. Comes in original, printed, lyric innersleeve. Play tested both sides all the way through on my Sony LAB-1200 turntable (see detailed grading below.) Overall, a pretty nice copy of this very rare, US promo label pressing. Make sure you check out the pics and see the detailed grading below. Only copy on ebay! It may be a long time before another original promo copy turns up for sale, let alone one in decent shape that's affordable. Priced to sell so grab it while you can! See my other listings for more classic rock vinyl, and check back often. Be sure to add us to your Saved Sellers. I post hard to find, sought after, and very rare records all the time. I'm happy to combine shipping, so check out my other listings for more cool vinyl.
RECORD CONDITION: VG+. (Side 2:VG/VG+. Side 1: VG++/EX-.) Nice, glossy vinyl with a few very light, scattered surface marks on each side. Play tested both sides all the way through on my Sony LAB-1200 tuntable. Played through very nicely with some very little light static/surface noise, except 1 very, very small needle mark that causes a very brief skip, towards the end of 'Heavens' On Fire", on Side 2. Other than that, this is a fantastic, higher grade example of this rare promo label pressing. Could probably benefit from a good, light cleaning. Comes in original, printed, lyric innersleeve in pretty nice shape, with a small, light stain towards the bottom center, front side, 4.5" split, center seam on the right side, and some minor light wear/creasing. Nice, clean, late '80s black Mercury labels with red logo and silver print, "Promotional Copy Only, Not For Sale" printed on the center right side. A few light abrasions on Side 1 label, and some light minor wear around the spindle hole/a few light spindle marks on each side.
JACKET CONDITION: VG+. Light to moderate, general shelf and corner wear. NO SPLITS! Some minor wear along the bottom seam. A few small light stains on the front cover. Some very light staining, back cover. Light to moderate ringwear, and a spot with some tiny paper tears, along the bottom of the front cover, dead center. Minor corner bend/a couple creases, top right corner of the front cover. Some other light, scattered creases. Stamped "Loaned for Promotion Only - Not For Sale..." towards the top, right corner of the back cover. Overall, a pretty nice copy of this rare, original, US promo edition. Priced to sell so grab it while you can! Be sure to see the pics. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY BACK! Thanks for looking!
