KISS UNMASKED Picture Disc EX condition
1980's Unmasked is the first album in Kiss' catalog to not include contributions from the band's original line-up of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. Although Criss appears illustrated on the cover and in the music video for the song "Shandi," he wasn't present for the recording of the album and would leave the band shortly after Unmasked'srelease. Produced by Vini Poncia and with session drummer Anton Fig in place of Criss, the album finds the band in unabashed pop-rock territory and far removed from the heavy-rock sound of their previous releases. In exception to the two Frehley originals "Talk to Me" and "Two Sides of the Coin," the 11-song set showcases material written by or co-written with artists outside of the band.
