ARTIST: Kitsch
TITLE: Left Hand Path (12"/BLACK/ACETATE)
We can't find any information about this EP or the artist(s), the label is/was owned by local DJ Ben Pound in the late 90s/early 2000s. There doesn't seem to be any other releases from the label or at least we couldn't find any information. It was mastered at Aardvark Studios here in Denver and has 2 different phone numbers written on the labels and the labels' email address. This a 3 track EP and here's the best description I can come up with for the tracks:
A-1 - Sounds like a big "Progressive Breaks" style track with 303 acidic bassline throughout the song. A real main room mix climax sounding track.
B-1 - Very funky 4/4 house track with a rubbery disco like bassline & clavinet chords - roughly sounds like the French/Filter house sound of the late 90s, maybe a slightly unfunky Daft Punk style track or a goofy Skint Records kinda house tune.
B-2 - Keeps in the wheelhouse of the previous track, except is kinda built around a jazz horn sample, has a U.S. garage like wide bassline, big breakdown and build up for the last part of the song.
