Bruckner: Symphony No.4 in E flat major
rare German first press vinyl 2LP set released in the 1950s on orange/gold DECCA mono label (no stereo exist) with catalognumbers LXT-5265 and LXT-5266-H. Laminated covers with fantastic photo artwork showing a picture of the orchestra with Walter Barylli as concertmaster, Otto Strasser (2 violins), Ernst Moraweg and Rudolf Streng (violas first desk), Alfred Boskowski, Leoplold Wlach and other well known players of the post war era of the professors... Brass players out of sight; conductor not identifiable - probably not a Decca artist ...
Laminated covers are beautiful with the typical signs of time only and vinyl in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - perfect! Collectors and audiophiles will know that it is impossible to find this set with covers in perfect MINT condition... Famous reference performances by Hans Knappertsbusch conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra recorded with true audiophile soundquality... see photo.
