Bruckner: Symphony No.4 in E flat major
rare German first press vinyl 2LP set released in the 1950s on orange/gold DECCA mono label (no stereo exist) with catalognumber LXT 5265 and LXT 5266-H.
Beautiful laminated top-open covers and vinyl all in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - perfect! Best copy I have seen in many years ...
Famous reference performance by Hans Knappertsbusch conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra recorded with true audiophile soundquality, same as the UK LXT 5265 / LXT 5266 counterpart pressings ... see photos.
Note the laminated covers with fantastic photo artwork showing a picture of the orchestra with Walter Barylli as concertmaster, Otto Strasser (2 violins), Ernst Moraweg and Rudolf Streng (violas first desk), Alfred Boskowski, Leoplold Wlach and other well known players of the post war era of the professors. Brass players out of sight; conductor not identifiable - probably not a Decca artist ...
