There was no need in 1970’s Germany to write her full name on the cover or the label:of course,this was the new album by actress and singer Hildegard Knef!Accompanied by Hans Hammerschmidt & his Orchestra on 12 tracks,”Hilde” celebrates her style of singing,wich is infact more a kind of  talking/recitative-or should I dare to say proto-rappin?!It’s probably more the punctuated way 50ies actresses used to talk,wich she brought to perfection.Jazz-singer Ella Fitzgerald once called her “The Greatest Singer Without Voice”!

Besides some nice groovy tracks,there are 2 outstanding dope killers on this one:”Wieviele Menschen Waren Glücklich,Daß Du Gelebt?”,wich starts with some echoed talking before a heavy fuzz-guitar plus organ come in over a fat beat and “Im Achzigsten Stockwerk”,a one-of-a-kind psych-funk groover.Original stereo pressing on the red deep-grooved DECCA/stern musik-label,SLK 16633-P.Beautiful,fully laminated POP-Art/psych cover.

Condition:the record looks ex to ex- with several papersleeve-lines,to be seen under a strong light;the record plays with occasional low crackling behind the music in quieter parts or in the dead wax.The 2 tracks of interest play in ex for a few seconds in the shorter intros with a real low occasional crackling in the background,the rest of both tracks plays in mint-.One label has 2 small initials written on,the other label is free of that.The cover has intact seams/spine and shows only slightest agewear,ex+

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
