Back in 2011, Frankie Knuckles' Director's Cut project - a collaboration with long-running studio buddy Eric Kupper - delivered a typically polished, colourful and emotive re-make of 'Your Love' - one of the Godfather of House's most cherished anthems of the 1980s. That fine cover, a near ten-minute epic featuring re-sung vocals from original singer Jamie Principle, features on the flip side of this essential reissue. On side A you'll find two 2020 reworks: a deeper, moodier and more thickset interpretation by Darius Syrossian, and a sparkling, hands-aloft retro house-goes-nu-disco interpretation by Alan Dixon. Both reworks are excellent, but it's Knuckles and Kupper's original 2011 mix that genuinely steals the show.
