Here's ANOTHER hard to find album in GREAT condition..
This is so hard to find..In this condition it's impossible to find and at £20.00 it's an absolute bargain..
This is as close to a mint copy that you will EVER find!..
It's their second album..Issued by Elektra in June 1964 (This copy is undated but it has an import stamp on the back sleeve and the use of these was discontinued in late 64)..EKL 267..It's a UK pressing in a USA sleeve (Front laminated)....For some reason Elektra used to press the album in the UK and import the sleeve from the USA! (Don't seem very sensible to me,but they did it up to about 1967..First issues of "The Doors" had USA sleeves)..
The disc looks absolutely super..It's clean and shiney and the naked eye reveals no scratches or scuffs..Strong light reveals a couple of tiny hairlines..It's nearly 50 years old and it looks like it came out of the shop this morning!..
It plays NEARLY mint..The 4th track on side 1 has 4 VERY light clicks..After careful scrutiny of the track,there looks like a very small pressing fault on this track (maybe it's a spot of grease or something which could be removed..maybe you could do it,but I am not going to fiddle about with a record this clean!)..Apart from which,this disc plays perfectly..There are no other clicks or pops and the sound quality is bright,clean and undistorted..I noted no crackle either!..
The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps or dishing..
The labels are undamaged..There is NO spindle wear at all..I am convinced that I am the first person to have played this!..
The sleeve is easily EX++..USA sleeves of this vintage usually have seam splits and bad dischape..Many of then are falling to bits..This sleeve is in GREAT condition..
It has a few minor defects:..There is a VERY small ding to the bottom of the spine,there is ONE tiny laminate crease to the front bottom edge and the back (non laminated) has a little discolouring around the edges)..It hs NO other defects or damage..
It has no rips,tears,seam splits,stains, scribble,stickers or sellotape or other such defects...There is no edge rubbing,the colours are bright and unfaded,there is absolute minimal dischape,the edges are straight and undamaged..The spine is square and undamaged with clearly legible text...
It has no cut corners,drill holes or saw cuts.
You are welcome to collect this in person or from The Southend Record Fair (11th May,8th June) and then the second Sunday in each month)..Where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...
Venue for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB...Record collections always wanted!.
