HERE WE HAVE A STUNNING!!! UK CAPITOL (E-ST11718) FIRST PRESSING!!! (May 1978) OF KRAFTWERK'S OUTSTANDING AND HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL LP, "The Man Machine" IN BEAUTIFUL MINT(-) CONDITION!!!!!!

PRESSED ON QUALITY MID-WEIGHT VINYL (much thicker and more robust than later presses!!) WITH DEEP CUT GROOVES WHICH DELIVER OUTSTANDING AUDIO. THE LP HAS THE FIRST ISSUE CUSTOM PICTURE LABELS AND THE FIRST PRESS MATRICES: E ST1 11718-1 / E ST2 11718-2

THE ALBUM IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL SLEEVE WITH THE CODE "TM 7805 RS" PRINTED IN THE LOWER CORNER INDICATING THAT THE COVER WAS PRINTED IN MAY 1978 (7805), CONFIRMING THIS COPY AS A FIRST PRESSING!!
THE LP COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL ROUNDED CORNER, PICTURE INNER SLEEVE!!


The Man-Machine is closer to the sound and style that would define early new wave electro-pop -- less minimalistic in its arrangements and more complex and danceable in its underlying rhythms. Like its predecessor, Trans-Europe Express, there is the feel of a divided concept album, with some songs devoted to science fiction-esque links between humans and technology, often with electronically processed vocals ("The Robots," "Spacelab," and the title track); others take the glamour of urbanization as their subject ("Neon Lights" and "Metropolis"). Plus, there's "The Model," a character sketch that falls under the latter category but takes a more cynical view of the title character's glamorous lifestyle. More pop-oriented than any of their previous work, the sound of The Man-Machine -- in particular among Kraftwerk's oeuvre -- had a tremendous impact on the cold, robotic synth pop of artists like Gary Numan, as well as Britain's later new romantic movement

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and NO evident spindle marks!!!! I WOULD SAY THAT THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY UNPLAYED!!!
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are a couple of (very) small superficial marks and some light pressing blemishes which have been there since manufacture but these are of no audio consequence WHATSOEVER!! STUNNING LIKE-NEW VINYL!!!!
VINYL Audio: The audio is absolutely OUTSTANDING!! - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY STRONG, RICH and VIBRANT!! There are NO scratches, NO sticks, NO jumps, barely ANY clicks/pops (hardly ANY!!) and NO surface noise!!! which is very, VERY rare, especially for an original first pressing!! There is NO groove-wear and NO distortion!!!! The LP plays in virtually MINT condition throughout and sounds ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDING COPIES OF THIS LP I HAVE EVER HEARD!!! NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards!!!
SLEEVE: The original cover is also in beautiful MINT(-) condition!! CLEAN and UNMARKED with just a tiny crease to the top corner otherwise, PERFECT!!
INNER: The inner sleeve is again, LIKE-NEW apart from a small split (4 cm) at the bottom where the vinyl has 'knifed' through. The LP will be posted to you in a new inner to avoid any more damage to the original!! A BEAUTIFUL COPY OF A SUPERB LP!!
