**About This Pressing**
This is an original 1988 US pressing of By All Means Necessary on Jive Records, blue label. Hauppauge pressing confirmed by the triangle stamp in the runout groove alongside matrix 1097.1 JA A2 - Hauppauge Record Manufacturing, Hauppauge, NY.
Written, produced, directed, and mixed entirely by KRS-One, recorded at Power Play Studios. Released in 1988 following the 1987 murder of DJ Scott La Rock - the album's title, cover, and inner sleeve are a direct response to that loss.
The original printed inner sleeve is present and fully intact. Side one carries KRS-One's full Necessary essay. Side two carries the photograph of Scott La Rock Jr. - the most emotionally powerful piece of packaging in the golden era hip-hop catalog, and the piece most commonly missing or destroyed in surviving copies. This sleeve is clean with no tears, no writing, no water damage.
Condition disclosure: Writing is present on both labels and on the cover spine. This is clearly photographed and accurately reflected in the grade and asking price. The vinyl plays cleanly through all tracks.
